The Bottom Up magazine – about us

The Bottom Up is a group of young journalists and researchers working on independent and critical journalism. Our stories are built “from the bottom, up”, working with primary sources, and lifting up the voice of the unheard.
We cover many issues including, but not limited to, international politics and foreign affairs, as well as human, economic, and environmental security.
Our works are best described as feature, explanatory and investigative journalism, with limited role for editorial writing.
Here’s a sample of our articles in English or Spanish.

Starting February 2nd 2017, we are an official newspaper according to Italian law (Court of Bologna, file n. 8453).
Our chief editor is Angela Caporale, Francesca Capoccia is the managing editor.
Here you can find the entire team.
